“sitting with your thoughts” is work. This has gotten more true the older I get. Hell, living with yourself is work. As far as I'm concerned, if you're still living, you're productive. Life ain't easy.

I am a productivity-driven pressure cooker. The biggest way for me to get more done is simply put my phone SCREEN DOWN beside me at work, or better yet, keep it in the bottom of my bag.

2016 lured me onto twitter where I became extremely online for several years. not until this past January was I finally able to put twitter in the past. I enjoyed the book and music recommendations I found there, and "kept up" with the political nonsense, but ultimately, I recognized that twitter was breaking my brain and I left it behind for good. excellent article; thank you.
