I use RSS to subscribe to all my favourite YouTube channels, limiting my time in the YouTube app interface. You can even get an RSS feed for specific playlists!
That's an awesome tip! I should probably revisit the topic of RSS readers sometime. I've written about using them for y'know, reading articles, but like your example demonstrates, there is so much more you can do.
There is also a handy extension called LibRedirect (https://libredirect.github.io/) which automatically redirects you to those alternatives! And it contains a multitude more alternative frontends :)

I really like nitter. I don't have a Twitter account, and nitter allows me to have the RSS feed of specific people, and load it into my RSS reader :)
